[34368] John's ancestry is from the unverified OneWorldTree in Ancestry.com in 2013.
[20075] James is son of Lemuel House. James and Tryphena had Daniel, Joseph, Peter, Findley, Lemuel, Jeremiah, Chauncey, John, Maria, Nancy, Rebecca and Almira. James mother appears to be Catherine Snell, wife of Lemuel. For source, see under Daniel Malcolm, James' father-in-law.
[61200] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 22 May 1941: "Monticello, May 21 - David A. Nason, who would have been 90 years June 17, died at the home of his daughter early this morning. He was well known in lumbering circles throughout Maine. Son of the late John M. Nason and Abigail DeGrasse Nason of Oromocto, N. B., he received his education in the public schools in York county but at the arly age of 16 years left school to work at construction work with his father, who built bridges for the Provincial government. At the age of 20 he began business for himself. This time it was the lumber Business, which he followed until about 10 years ago. As a young man he married Miss Arminta Bunker of Oromocto, who died the following year. Two years later he married Miss Henrietta DeGrasse, and they moved to Monticello 56 years ago. To this union were born six children, G. W., Nason of Houlton, A. M. Nason of Monticello, and Princeton, N. F. Nason of Hodgdon, JOhn R. Nason of South Portland, Mrs. W. H. Cowperthwaite of Monticello, and Mrs. Guy McLaughlin, who died in 1919. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Nason died five years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Nason were foster parents to two nephews, Norman DeGrasse of Seattle, Wash., and Wilmer Burnet of Presque Isle, also two grandchildren, Ray McLaughlin of Princeton and Dorothy McLaughlin of Boston. Mr. Nason had been the oldest resident here for seven years. Several years ago, when the primitive Baptist church was built on the Lake road, Monticello, Mr. Nason donated the bell for the church, which bell will be tolled 90 times at the time of his burial, by Frank Prosser."
