[9276] "The Perry County Times, 27 February 1947," p. 8: "William Henry Boyer, aged 81 years, 10 months and 26 days, died at 4:00 a. m., Monday, February 4, of a lingering illness, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ralph Meyer, 1109 North 16th street, Harrisburg, with whom he and his wife were staying since December 21, when he was taken suddenly very ill. He was a son of Ralph and Mary Jane Minich Boyer and was a life long resident of Perry County. He was a life long member of the Loysville Lutheran Church and Sunday School, attending regularly as long as health permitted. Mr. Boyer was married fifty-three years ago to Miss Aura Mae Wormley, of Loysville, who survives with one daughter. Mrs. Mever: seven grand children, two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Samuel Shambaugh, oi Plainfield. He was an honest, upright Christian. Funeral services were held in Tressler Memorial Lutheran Church. Loysville, on Wednesday at 2 p. m., his pastor, the Rev. J. Grover C. Knipple, officiating, and burial was made in Restland Cemetery."
