She was born in Penobscot Sept. 6, 1925, the daughter of Royden and Bertha (Hutchins) Bowden. Pauline graduated from Clark High School in Penobscot. She trained to be a nurse with the U.S. Cadet Nursing Corps at Eastern Maine General Hospital in Bangor, graduating in 1945. She went on to work at Eastern Maine Medical Center, the Bangor State Hospital, Utterback's Hospital, and finished her career in private nursing. Pauline met her husband, Francis E. Farrar and they were married in 1955. They raised their family on Route 46 in Eddington. She was a lifelong member of the East Eddington Community Church. She and Francis were deacon and deaconess for many years and she belonged to the Ladies Aid. She was active with the Eddington Historical Society, the Eddington Gardening Club, the East Eddington Grange, and the UMO Cooperative Extension. Pauline's favorite activates were gardening and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 43 years; brother Lee and wife Gertrude Bowden; son-in-law Sonny Seekins. Pauline is survived by daughters Sandra Seekins of Salt Springs, FL, and Kathy Brancely and husband Frank of Saco; sons Mike Dore and wife Cynthia of Eddington, Brian Dore and wife Bertha of Old Town, and David Farrar and wife Julia of Bangor; grandchildren Mindy, Scott, Andy, Holly, Frank, Jessica, Nicole, and Jennifer; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews."

She had five sons and one daughter with David L Schroll Sr. between 1836 and 1856. She died on May 18, 1882, in Ashland, Ohio, at the age of 70, and was buried there." Her father "Jacob Lehman was born in 1773 in Rapho, Pennsylvania. He married Mary Brubaker in 1796 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They had 10 children in 20 years. He died on February 19, 1858, in South Middleton, Pennsylvania, having lived a long life of 85 years. Ancestry.com offers: "Lehmann Name Meaning - German: status name for a feudal tenant or vassal, Middle High German leheman, lenman (from lehen 'to hold land as a feudal tenant' + man 'man'). The tenant held land on loan for the duration of his life in return for rent or service, but was not free to transfer or divide it."
