[41415] "Lawrence County News [Lawrenceville, Illinois]," 10 June 1943, p. 5: "Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah P. Ridgley were held at the White House church Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock by Rev. Robert Morris, of Bridgeport. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Ridgley, the widow of Luther Ridgley, passed away at her home on Bridgeport Route 1 at 3:40 Monday morning. She had been in ill health for several years, due to her advanced age of 93 years, and had been seriously ill with a heart ailment for a week previous to her death. Deceased was the mother of three children - Mrs. T. J. Oney, William and Frank Ridgley. She spent the greater portion of her life in and near Bridgeport." An unverified file in 2020 in Ancestry.com offers: "When Sarah Priscilla Bruffey was born on April 3, 1851, in Lawrence, Illinois, her father, John, was 39, and her mother, Louisa, was 24. She married Martin Luther Ridgley in 1869 in her hometown. They had five children in 19 years. She died on June 7, 1943, in Bridgeport, Illinois, at the age of 92, and was buried there."
