He was a carpenter by profession. He built owned and operated the Hutchins Mountian View Motor Court in Hulls Cove. He was a life member of the Carpenters and Joiners Union and a member of the George E. Kirk Post 25, American Legion, of Bar Harbor. He is survived by his wife Joy L. (Grindle) Hutchins of Bar Harbor; one daughter, Mrs. Lewis (Judy) Gerrish, Jr. of Hulls Cove; three sisters, Dorothy Webster, Regina Perkins and Adelina Grindle; one brother, Oakley Hutchins, all of Penobscot; two grandsons, Lewis E. Gerrish III of Sarasota, Fla. and Gerald M. Gerrish of Bar Harbor. Graveside services were held Wednesday, Aug 16, at Hillside Cemetery, Hulls Cove."

Rose is survived by her husband of 67 years, Halford of Penobscot, 2 daughters, Patricia Duchette and her husband David of Windham and Denice Grindell and her companion Ed Hopkins of Glenburn, 2 granddaughters, Katharine Duchette and her husband Michael Rolfe and Anna Duchette, 2 sisters, Margaret Austin and her husband Norris and Roberta Burband along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, one brother, Robert and 2 sisters, Rebecca and Esther."

She was born in Duck Cove Bucksport, the second child of Flora (Blaisdell) Lysle Saunders. Muriel was a lifelong member of the North Bucksport United Methodist Church where she held many different official seats her favorite being the Communications Director. She loved sewing, crocheting, and quilting. She was a member of the Floral Grange #158 of North Bucksport. She was past president of the Board of the North Bucksport Foundation. Muriel loved to winter in Florida and spend her summer vacation in PEI. Muriel is survived by her two sons: Donald Arey and wife, Linda, Richard Arey and wife, Judy, grandsons: Edward P Arey and Jeffrey M. Arey; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward K. Arey and second husband, John L. Gray; one grandson, Sean P. Arey; siblings: Basil L. Saunders, Warren J. Saunders, Kenneth L. Saunders and one sister: Joyce A. Weidler."

Pervear of Stonington; daughters, Deborah (Nash) Eaton of Stonington and Nikki and husband, David Varney, of Pennsylvania; brother, Sterling 'Dave' Steele of Stonington; four granddaughters, Emmi Ellen Eaton of Deer Isle and Megan, Erin and Lauren Varney, all of Pennsylvania; three great-grandsons, Cody R. and Camden G. Grimmel of Greene and Brenden J. Eaton of Deer Isle; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Scott."
