He was born April 28, 1944, in Bangor, the oldest son of 13 children to Clifford and Nettie (Archer) Curtis. A man of many hats, with life taking him in many directions ranging from fighting in the Vietnam was as a firefighter, digging clams, living in service of others through drug abuse counseling, and managing his own bottle redemption center. He enjoyed hobbies such as hunting, trapping, fishing, and sharing his wealth of random knowledge. Many listeners of 103.9 may remember him by his alias: Walter Brown. He was a long time member of the Lynde Lodge #174, AF & AM, and a member of the Anah Shriners. Warren is survived by his wife, Deborah Chase Curtis; children Rick Goodwin and wife, Lori of Levant, Stacey Curtis and partner, Debi Lamoine, Jill Curtis of Holden, and James Curtis and wife Lisa of Buxton; grandchildren, Devin Anna Matthew, Jazlynn, Joshua, Elizabeth, and Dalton; great-grandchildren, Addison, Rayla, and Aubree; as well as many nieces and nephews."

She had four [known] sons with Johann Philip Muench. She died in 1755 in Freisbach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, at the age of 45." Ancestry.com offers: "Oster Name Meaning - Swedish (Öster) and German: topographic name from Swedish öster, Middle Low German and Middle High German oster eastern, denoting someone who lived to the east of a settlement or who had come there from the east. In many cases the Swedish name is probably ornamental. German: nickname for someone who had a connection with the festival of Easter (for example, someone who was born or baptized at that time), from Oster Easter."

[51540] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 13 June 1906, p. 22: "After about a weeks illness with pneumonia, Alfred W. Willey, living on the upper part of the Ridge, died on Wednesday last. Mr. Willey was 54 years old and for some years drove the Beddington and Debois stage. He had a family of nine children, being married twice, but most of the children were grown up. The funeral was held at the school house on the Ridge, Rev. Brown E. Smith officiating. The widow and three chldren are at home."
