Virginia Horler notes:
1900 Census in Oakland ED 370 page 3B: living with his mother and siblings, clerk in drugstore.
1910 Census Oakland Ward 7 ED 138, 261 E. Oak Street: Willis H. Palmer (30) born Maine, stationer and printer; Elizabeth (38); Willis H. Jr. (8); Bessie (6); Jackson (3).
According to the 1920 Oakland, Alameda County Census, Willis worked as an agent for a stationery company. By 1930, he owned a home in Oakland valued at $25,000 and worked as a manufacturer's representative for office supplies. He was not a veteran. He married Mary Elizabeth Hambright, married 1899 in Oakland, CA, b. 30 Jan 1871 in Illinois, d. 12 Jul 1956 in Oakland, Alameda, California, buried JUL 1956 in Garden Wall Niche 102, Tier 4.
Children:
i. Willis Hartman Palmer b. 1 May 1901.
ii. Henrietta Elizabeth Palmer, b. 27 Nov 1903 in Oakland, Alameda, California. There are no "Henriettas" in her mother's family, and so I think that Sarah Louise Palmer's "aunt Henrietta" was a Palmer, born in Canada. She married Newton Edward Davis, married 29 Apr 1933 in Berkeley, Alameda, California, b. 13 Jul 1904 in California, d. 6 Jun 1980 in Contra Costa County, CA.
iii. Jackson Horace Palmer, b. 22 Oct 1906 in Oakland, Alameda, CA, d. 27 Nov 1979 in Alameda County, California. In the 1930 Census, his name is listed as Judison H. Palmer. He was single and worked as a clerk in a bond house.
