In 2002 http://www.burgessgenealogy.net stated: "In The Burgess History Tree, p. 73, Paul Burgess states (without citing his source) that John was born 10 February 1627/28 in Truro, Cornwall, England. We have seen no evidence that places our Burgess family in Cornwall or any evidence of the birth dates of any of Thomas and Dorothy's children, other than Elizabeth (based on her age at death). 'John Burgess, the second son of Thomas, was admitted a freeman in 1657, and served as grand juror in 1661. He early removed to Yarmouth, and was deputy from that town to the Court at Plymouth in 1680. He married Mary, the daughter of Peter Worden, Sept. 8, 1657, and had a large family.'"
Via email, Cheryl Morris [camorris@mars.ark.com] offered 22 Aug 2002: "Per Hiam, Lydia was the daughter of Joseph Burgess [son of John and Mary Worden]. Lydia's mother was Tameson [probably Tamsin] Bangs daughter of Jonathan Bangs of Harwich and Mary Mayo. Hiam quotes the Bangs Family as sources. Lydia was b. May 2, 1704 and d. Jan 16, 1777 and was married to Jonathan Luce of Tisbury. [this is on pp. 83-84 of Hiam's Burgess Genealogy] Lydia's siblings were Joseph who married Thankful snow of Eastham John b. April 5, 1706 who married Hannah Blackwell of Sandwich Jonathan, b. May 5, 1708 who married Elizabeth _ and who died at age 93 Mercy b. Jan 1, 1712 and d. Jan 25, 1795; she married Judah Baker. Remember b. June 21, 1716 and married Israel Cole III of Eastham Simeon who married Deborah Edwards. There is a debate on the Burgess genealogists as to Jonathan and Remember's parentage and marriages. It is very long and complex. You might see Jonathan listed to another parent - Samuel and his second wife, Mary Taylor. Some researchers think Remember was the daughter of Samuel and Elizabth Burgess."

[33070] The unverified Fasig tree in Ancestry.com in 2016 offers: "When William James Heaps was born on February 17, 1868, in Maryland, his father, James, was 56 and his mother, Margaret, was 53. He married Carrie B Erdman about 1909. He died on April 11, 1957, in Coal City, Pennsylvania, at the age of 89, and was buried in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania." "Shamokin News-Dispatch [Shamokin, PA], 11 April 1957," p. 2: "William J Heaps, 89, of 19 East Independence Street, former principal of Shamokin High School and widely known educator and author, died late this morning in Shamokin Hospital, where he had been a patient since March 31. Death was attributed to a complication. Mr. Heaps was born in Maryland February 17, 1868, a son of the late James Anderson and Margaret (Wright) Heaps. Shortly after his birth he moved to England with his parents, who were British citizens. After spending his childhood in Britain, the educator returned to this country and first made his home in Baltimore. He moved to Shamokin in 1900 and lived here approximately three years while serving as principal of Shamokin High School from 1900 to 1902. Upon relinquishing the post, Mr Heaps moved again to Baltimore, where he resided until returning to Shamokin six years ago. He was a member of the Episcopal Church in Baltimore. The widely known author and educator has been listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East and in Matthew's American Armory and Blue Book. He is the author of many books, including 'The Perfect Man,'' 'Autocracy Versus Democracy' and 'The Slave.' Mr. Heaps was graduated from Pennington School for Boys, New England, in 1890, and from Farmington College in 1892. He studied at the University of Minnesota, and received a bachelor of law degree from the University of Marvland in I903. He further studied at Johns Hopkins University, and was awarded an honorary foctor of law degree from the University of Southern Minnesota in 1917. In 1902 Mr. Heaps received an honorary doctor of philosophy degree from Tyler University. He also was awarded an honorary master of arts degree at Allegheny College in 1891. As an educator, Mr. Heaps operated Milton Academy, a private school for boys in Baltimore, from 1902 to 1934, after which he retired. He also was organizer and principal of Winfield Academy from 1896 to 1900. Mr. Heaps and the former Miss Carolyn Erdman, Shamokin, were married in this city in 1902. Active in Masonic circles, Mr Heaps was a member of Valley of Baltimore Lodge of Thirty-third Degree Masons, Baltimore Consistory, Knights Templar, Benjamin Franklin Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, Meridith Chapter and Boumi Shrine Temple, Baltimore. The only survivor is the widow. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:00 in Farrow Funeral Home, Sixth and Chestnut Streets. Rev. Harold C. Baer, pastor of St John's Reformed Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's (Blue) Lutheran and Reformed Church Cemetery, Overlook."
