[44031] The unverified Whitcomb/Wells Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2018 offers: "When Eleanor Peters was born in February 1839 in White Creek, New York, her father, John, was 20, and her mother, Eleanor, was 15 . . . . She died on February 13, 1922, in Shaftsbury, Vermont, at the age of 83, and was buried in South Shaftsbury, Vermont." "The Bennington Evening Banner [Bennington, Vermont], 13 February 1922," p. 1: "Mrs. Eleanor Beagle died early this mornng in her home at South Shaftsbury, aged 82 years. Mrs. Beagle would have been 83 had she lived until Friday. The funeral will be in the home at 2 oclock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. E. E. Benn will officiate. The body will be brought to Bennington and placed in Park Lawn vault. The ultimate burial will be in South Shaftsbury cemetery in the spring. Mrs. Beagle had been a life-long resident of South Shaftsbury and always took a warm interest in home and church activities The deceased leaves two sons, Fred Beagle of North Bennington and James Beagle of Springfield, Vt, and one daughter, Mrs. Myron Whitcomb also of Springfield."

[39685] "Pottsville Republican [Pottsville, PA], 26 February 1976," p. 2: "Alvin R. Williard, 64, of RD Lykens, died Wednesday afternoon of an apparent heart attack while driving his car on Route 25 east ofGratz. Police said Williard was driving west on Route 25, when he apparently suffered the attack. The car went out of control, ran off the road to the north side and traveled about 245 feet after leaving the highway. The vehicle came to rest on its roof in a field. The car was demolished, police said. Mr. Williard was a son of the late Moses and Katie Sitlinger Williard. He was born at RD Lykens Feb. 1, 1912. He was a member of Erdman Sportsmen's Club, the Gratz and Valley View Fire Companies and Zion Lutheran Church, Erdman. Surviving are his widow, the former Arlene Williard; a son Ronald, RD Klingerstown; five daughters, Mrs. Allen Shiro, Berrysburg; Mrs. Lynn Conrad, Valley View; Debra and Tammy, at home; Mrs. Kenneth Bixler, Reading; 16 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Leon Straub, RD Lykens. Services will be held Saturday afternoon from the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, with Rev. Robert Eastlack of Klingerstown officiating. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery."
