[51652] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 4 January 2017": "Ellsworth - James Freeman Closson, 79, passed away peacefully Christmas evening after ending his long battle with Alzheimers and dementia. He was born an April Fools baby in 1937, the son of Elizabeth (Starkey) and Harry Closson. He was a graduate of Ellsworth High School. James was a veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was an accomplished welder retiring from Pratt & Whitney. An avid fisherman, 'Jimmy' was most known for his never-ending sense of humor and natural ability to make people laugh. He is survived by his brother, Charles Chattley Jr.; many nieces, nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in his journey by his parents; stepfather, Charles Chattley Sr.; adoring wife, Erma Closson; loving sister, Judith Lindsey."

[20829] Geoffrey also had John de Neville (d. ca. 1253, father of Geoffrey, s.p. 1267) and Alan de Neville. http://www.thepeerage.com/p76.htm reports "Geoffrey (II) de Neville held the office of Chamberlain to King John in 1207. He held the office of Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1214. He held the office of Seneschal of Poitou between 1215 and 1219."
[19908] living - details excluded
[51936] John is son of William Fraser & Jane Connon (b. in 1841 m. 27 December 1862 in Newhills, Aberdeenshire, Scotland).
[7076] William's wife is thought to be Alice Goodborne (b,1565, d. 20 Jan 1628 in Foston/LongBennington) according to the Randall Family Tree. William, of Foston/Long Bennington, Lincolnshire, is son of Richard Ysac [sic] and wife Agnes. William is known from his mother's will of 1547 where he is called Sir William Isacke [sic]. "Lincolnshire Notes and Queries" (Vol. 5) shows him as the clerk at Westborough, Lincolnshire in 1556 and as clerk ("clergy" = pastor) at Fleet by "...a grant to him and others, for this turn, made by the lady Anne de Cleve, to the church of Fleet...." father, Richard, was living in 1531 when he signed a will as an executor, but dead in 1547 when Agnes writes her will as a widow.
[41070] "May Name Meaning - English, French, Danish, Dutch, and German: from a short form of the personal name Matthias (see Matthew) or any of its many cognates, for example Norman French Maheu. English, French, Dutch, and German: from a nickname or personal name taken from the month of May (Middle English, Old French mai, Middle High German meie, from Latin Maius (mensis), from Maia, a minor Roman goddess of fertility). This name was sometimes bestowed on someone born or baptized in the month of May; it was also used to refer to someone of a sunny disposition, or who had some anecdotal connection with the month of May, such as owing a feudal obligation then. English: nickname from Middle English may 'young man or woman'. Irish (Connacht and Midlands): when not of English origin (see 1-3 above), this is an Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Miadhaigh 'descendant of Miadhach', a personal name or byname meaning 'honorable', 'proud'" - Source: Dictionary of American Family Names ©2013, Oxford University Press

[8651] "The Perry County Democrat [Bloomfield, PA], 28 May 1924," p. 3: "The many friends of Mrs. Casper C. Nickel learned with sincere regret of her death which occurred Friday of last week at her home in Loysville. She had not been in good health for a year past. Ruth Naomi NickeI was the only daughter of Samuel and Alice (Bower) Snyder and was born at Bridgeport, this county, February 10, 1886. Her parents moved to Harrisburg when she was a child, where they lived for several years, later returning to Bridgeport and afterward moved to this place. She and Casper C. Nickel were married September 3, 1908, and soon after took up their residence in Loysville. She is survived by her husband and three children - Helen, Ruth and Charles; also by her mother and one brother, David A. Snyder, of Washington. D. C. Mrs. Nickel was a consistent member of the Lutheran Church and was a young woman of intelligence and refinement."
