[47852] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 27 September 2020": "Reginald 'Reg' Barry Bowden, 87, died September 25, 2020. He was born August 19, 1933, in Bangor, the son of Ralph F. and Louise B. (Butler) Bowden. Reginald was raised in Orono, attended public schools, and graduated from Orono High School, where he was president of the Class of 1951. Prominent in school activities, he edited his class yearbook and the prize-winning student newspaper. A journalism major, Reg was a member of the class of 1955 at the University of Maine, serving as class vice president. He was on the editorial staff of The Maine Campus, editor of the Prism yearbook, manager of the track team, president of the Press Club, president of the Canterbury Club, and a member of Scabbard and Blade. The greatest honor he received at the university was being named a Senior Skull. As a Maine undergraduate, Reg was employed as an assistant in the campus information office, as a publicist for Kneisel Hall Music School in Blue Hill, and as a reporter for the Penobscot Times in Old Town and the Bangor Daily Commercial. Following graduation from Maine, Reg's community service continued as he embarked on a career in journalism, politics, public affairs and publishing. In 1955 Reg was appointed a legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Frederick G. Payne, of Maine. While on the Senator's Washington staff Reg also did graduate study in the School of Communications at American University where he became a member of Sigma Delta Chi, a professional journalism society. Reg was commissioned as a Reserve Officer in the United States Army and graduated from Infantry School at Ft. Benning, GA. He served at several US posts and with reserve units in Bangor. Reg was discharged in 1964 in the grade of Captain, Infantry. Returning to Maine, Reg was a reporter-copy editor for the state desk at the Bangor Daily News prior to his appointment as the first full-time public relations officer at the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine. In 1961 Reg was appointed Press Secretary to Maine Governor John H. Reed, a position he held until 1965 when he became Public Relations Director and Instructor in Journalism at Gorham State College. He was subsequently named Director of Public Information for the University of Southern Maine, a post he left in 1971 to return to his family home in Blue Hill. Following a period of self-employment as a public relations consultant, Reg became the owner-operator of The Mountain Press, a small commercial printing firm in Blue Hill. Active in the Blue Hill community, Reg was at one time a member of the Boards of Directors of the Blue Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Peninsula Ambulance Corps.; president of the Blue Hill Historical Society, and treasurer of the Jonathan Fisher Memorial Inc. He was one of the founding parishioners of St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church in Blue Hill. Reg retired to Orono in 1986. He was a member of the Parish of St. James Episcopal Church, Old Town, for over 60 years and served several terms on the vestry. Reg was an active member of the University of Maine Alumni Association and received the Golden 'M' award at his 50th reunion for outstanding class service and leadership. He was a member of the Charles Allen Society, and also an honorary member of the Gorham State College Alumni Association. Reg was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his friends and relative including a sister, Donna Abbot Ingalls, of Ellsworth; cousins, Jerry and Jackie Butler, and family, of Blue Hill. Jo Ann Bowden, of Brewer, and David Locke, of South Gardiner."
[37058] Find A Grave Memorial 17009201 offers: "Jessie Belle's parentage is not conclusive, with sources being the 1880 census and her multiple marriage applications. Jessie was born in Jackson County, Indiana. Jessie and descendants usually stated her maiden name with variations of Cohorn. She stated her mother died while she was very young and so was raised by another family. Jessie married Charles Edward Lacy 25 January 1896. The family moved from Jackson County to Jasonville in Greene County where Charles worked for the railroad. They lived in Jasonville during the 1914 fire - the kids were scared and hid under the bed, but the fire did not affect their lodging. On 6 December 1915 she married Elmer Roscoe Booker, a widower with five kids of his own. Oddly they married again in Monroe County in 1933. Since this time she was always known to her grandkids as Grandma Booker. They divorced again and she married Andrew Harvey 5 Dec 1945. They lived in the city of Linton where she lived the rest of her days, dying 14 January 1960 of a cerebral hemorrhage. [by Steven W Good, June 2013]"

[24713] http://www.angelfire.com/mi4/polcrt/StCasimir.html states Casimir II was Duke of Crakow in 1177. http://www.thepeerage.com/p11460.htm reports "Casimir II, Duke of Cracow also went by the nick-name of Casimir 'the Just'. He was a member of the House of Piast. He succeeded to the title of Duke of Cracow in 1177." In 2007 http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/POLAND.htm offers: "Kazimierz of Poland, son of Boleslaw III 'Krzywousty/Wrymouth' Prince of Poland & his second wife Salome von Berg-Schelklingen (1138-5 May 1194). The 'Chronicon Polono-Silesiacum' names (in order) the five sons of Bolesaw III 'Vladislaum, Boleslaum, Mesiconem, Kazimirum, Henricum', specifying that Kazimierz had no inheritance. The 'Annales ?Cracovienses Compilati' record the birth in 1138 of 'Kazimirus filius Boleslay'. The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines names 'Vergescelaus . . . Mesico et Casemarus' as three brothers 'in Polonia'. The 'Chronicon Polono-Silesiacum' records that Kazimierz succeeded his brother Hendryk in Sandomir. He succeeded in 1177 as Kazimierz II 'Sprawiedliwy/the Just' Prince of Sandomir and Krakow. The 'Annales Capituli Cracoviensis' record the death in 1186 of 'dux Lezstko', specifying that 'Kazimirus optinet ducatum'. He succeeded his nephew Leszek in 1186 as Prince of Kujavia and Mazovia. Duke of Lesser Poland/Malopolska. The 'Annales Capituli Cracoviensis' record the death in 1194 of 'dux Kazimirus frater ducis Meskonis'. The 'Annales Cracovienses Compilati' record the death in 1195 of 'Kazimir pater Lestkonis et Conradi in Cracovia'. - m ([1163]) Helena, daughter of _____ ([1140/42]-[1202/06]). Baumgarten cites Polish chronicles name her, from which her marriage can be dated, and which record that she died before [1206/07]. There is some contradiction about the identity of the wife of Kazimierz II. According to 'Europäische Stammtafeln', she was Helena of Moravia, daughter of Konrad Duke of Moravia [P?emyslid] & his wife Marija of Serbia, although the primary source on which this is based has not been identified. According to Baumgarten, she was Ielena Rostislavna, daughter of Rostislav Mstislavich Prince of Smolensk, later Grand Prince of Kiev & his wife _____, citing in particular the 'Ipatiewskaia Chronicle' which records that Mstislav was the first cousin of Prince Leszek 'Bialy', the son of Helena."
