He is son of Lewis Chesrown and Elizabeth Redd, both b. in PA., according to "Ohio Deaths 1908-1953". "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 28 March 1910," p. 4: "Adam Chesrown, very well known in Ashland and Richland counties, died at his home at Mohican in Ashland county Sunday morning at 12:25. The deceased was born in Pennsylvania and came to Ashland county with his parents when a mere boy. He was 73 years of ago on Jan. 13, last. Mr. Chesrown while working on hia farm had a leg broken some time ago and was laid up for quite awhile, but death was due to an attack of grip combined with the worry incident to the loss of a son at Akron recently by death. Mr. Chesrown was a very successful farmer in his earlier days but through reverses he lost much that he had acquired. Nothing daunted he went to work again harder than ever and had managed to get himself into comfortable circumstances once more when he was overtaken by death. Mr. Chesrown had a large family. He leaves a wife and five sons and two daughters to mourn his departure, while there are also six sons dead. The living children are as follows: H. H. Chesrown of Mansfield; Robert Chesrown of Akron; Adolphus, Lewis, Todd and Alice and Bertha of Mohican. Funeral Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Reformed church at Mohican, the Rev. Walker officiating and burial at St. John's cemetery three miles south of Mohican."
