Giles' son Stephen, married Mary Merrick 05/22/1667 in Eastham, MA. They had nine children, the 6th being Nathaniel, born in March of 1684. On May 26, 1707 in Harwich MA he married Mercy Mayo, daughter of John Mayo (1656-1726) and Hannah Freeman (1664-1744). They had 10 children. Nathaniel was a blacksmith by trade. He apparently was a pleasant jovial man, as his gravestone displays a winged head with a rare chubby, smiling face. It is carved in the style of William Coye of Plymouth."
