"Ezekiel Cheever and Some of His Descendants" in NEHGR 38:172 reports Ezekiel took the oath of fidelity in 1678 and of freeman 11 May 1681. He was an original member of the church at Salem Village. His role in the Salem Witch Trials is mentioned in "A Storm of Witchcraft: The Salem Trials and the American Experience", Emerson W. Baker (New York: Oxford University Press, 2014).
